Darkness gathers over the world of game design... A new base type has awakened in IMS Creators - "Game Object" - bringing with it the mysterious powers of localization. We've enhanced the text editor with ancient incantations
1. "Game Object" - A Vessel for Souls
Now, when creating an element, you can choose the new "Game Object" type - as if summoning an entity from beyond.

A Game Object is no mere entry. It is a vessel for your game's entities: vampires, ghosts, enchanted artifacts, or ancient curses. Create any entity: a fanged night hunter, a flickering spirit, or a soul-devouring relic - tailored to your game's genre.

Initially, the game object contains 🔮 an image (a portal to another world?),📜 a description (an encrypted prophecy?), and 📊 a table of properties (excerpts from the Bestiary?). You can add any other blocks to it if you wish.
Once you have defined the basic structure of your object, such as a game character, use the instance creation function (or create a collection of game objects) to describe a specific character in your game.
All filled data is stored in a structured form and can be easily read by game engines. To export data, use the “Synchronization” function in the left panel of the application. We wrote about this here and here

The prophecy didn't come true and the whole plan is going down the drain? The character has acquired new superpowers? No problem - just change the basic game object "Character" and the changes will automatically be transferred to all instances. And if there are already unidentified entities hiding among your elements, you can turn them into game objects through the element settings menu
In addition, game objects have two more hidden powers:
- Phantom Tooltip - Hover over a linked Game Object to reveal its secrets.
- The Curse of Multilingualism - But more on that below...
2. Localization Panel - A Spell of Tongues
Game Objects now bear a localization button, allowing you to weave translations for every text field across mortal languages.

Choose a language (only those known to mortals... for now) in opened window, and a table of translatable fields will appear:

The table contains the name of the game object, its description, and all properties whose type is set to “Text”
For each field in the table, the following is indicated:
- Translation key, which can then be used in your game engine
- Original text
- Translation text
- Status
The status can be:
- Gray circle - the field has not yet been translated, as if hidden by fog.
- Yellow circle - the original has changed... is the text deceiving you? You need to double-check the translation
- Green checkmark - the spell is complete.
The localization functionality will continue to develop. We plan to add it for translating dialogues/scripts, as well as make a separate panel where you can control the translation of all game entities. What else would be useful for this module? Write in the comments
3. New Text Editor - Ink and Blood
We've reforged the old editor, banishing bug demons and bestowing new powers:

Now there are:
- List spells (numbered and bulleted).
- Code formatting - perhaps ancient runes?
- Superscripts and subscripts - what are those signatures hiding?
- Links can now lead not only to the outside world, but also deeper into your document...

4. Story Points - Flickering Units of Fate
Tasks can now be estimated in Story Points (SP) - mysterious units favored by arcane agile practitioners.
To indicate the difficulty of a task, click on one of these buttons

Enter the difficulty... but beware: underestimating a task may awaken something.

5. Other Shadows of Improvement
In addition to the above improvements, we have prepared a number of other pleasant bonuses for you:
- Now you can create subfolders inside collections. For example, you can create a collection “Abilities” and place the subfolders “Melee”, “Ranged combat”, or make subfolders “Hero Abilities”, “Enemy Abilities” - your imagination is now unlimited 🙂
- If you have a long document and its contents do not fit on one screen - now you can scroll it independently of the document
- Now the game page can be decorated with a background image
- In the collection contents table, too long text fields are now cut off
- Improved styles in the light theme
