Hello everyone) How are you feeling this spring? It's getting sunny and warm outside. I want to go outside and get some fresh air, but work tasks, study plans, household chores stop me... A caring star has freed up some time for you) Don't lose yourself in the abyss of worries, use parameter synchronization, as well as new filters and much more)
Synchronization of parameters
A new menu section has appeared - “Synchronization”, where you can configure the synchronization of game parameters between IMS Creators and your local project files.
Let's add an export configuration:
- Enter a name.
- Select the export type (for now only JSON, but other formats will appear soon. Write in the comments which ones you would like to see).
- Elements to include in the export:
- By folder;
- By type (use inheritance to set types for elements).
- Save the result as [name of the file or subfolder that will be created in the synchronized directory].
- Select the format: “Full”, “Values only”, “Custom”. Yes, yes. You can select “Custom” format and write JS code that will generate a file in the format you need! To see which format is selected, click on the eye icon.
Great! Then click "Synchronize" and select a folder on your computer where you want to upload the data. If you want to speed up the process of subsequent file updates, use the "Synchronize automatically" checkbox, then all changes in your GDD will be instantly transferred to your project)
This function only works with browsers that implement interaction with the file system (fortunately, there are many of them). But for other browsers, we will later make it possible to upload data via a ZIP archive.
Take a fresh look at tasks
The new menu is already on your table
Tasks have been replaced by filters, boards have moved to the top) Metrics have moved down and are firmly entrenched at the bottom of the menu. In general, watch and comment)
New filters
To add filters, click the “Configure filters” button and select new images for yourself:
- Created (when was the task created?)
- Creator (who created the task?)
- Execution status (is the task completed or not?)
- Observed by (who?)
90 degree rotation
IMS Creators now has the ability to collapse columns) Select a column and click on the collapse icon -><-. This way you can remove columns that are not relevant at the moment from your field of view)
Happiness is in the little things
- The calendar now has the same menu that opens when you right-click
- If you left something in the field, a warning will appear when you close the tab
- A long task name will no longer spoil the appearance of the right sidebar
- Fixed loading of tasks when displayed in columns
- When you hover over a task in the list, the board name is also shown (Main board → Plan)
- Adjusted the position of the cover in the sidebar and pop-up window
- And many other nice little things)
Tariff update
Since we're talking about small things, here are the updated tariff plans.
In the free version, the number of maximum elements has been increased to 256. And we've removed this limitation from the indie tariff altogether) Now you don't need to count how many elements are left - work calmly and create large worlds)
And some more good news for studios: now you don't need to buy a license for each project separately: buy a license once and create as many projects as you need) And since studios usually work on large projects, we suggest purchasing a STUDIO license for a year, 2 or more at once)
